Best for the World honorees are companies that, out of the 1800+ certified B Corps across the globe, scored in the top 10 percent of a particular category. Hailed as pushing an already high bar even higher, these are the companies that are redefining the face of business, and RNL is proud to be among them.
As B The Change Media puts it, “Many of [these companies] are, in our opinion, the best businesses in the world. More certainly, they have subjected themselves to a strict assessment that indicates that they are the best for the world.”
The timing couldn’t have been better, coming on the eve of RNL's 60th anniversary when the entire RNL family, from all offices across the nation and the world, came together in the Denver office for a once-in-a-decade event.
This was a day of catching up with colleagues, putting faces to names, and collectively celebrating our past, present and future. The whole office filled with laughter, chatter and excitement as groups of people shared stories of their latest projects, their hometowns, even their jet lag. Presentations ranged from studio updates and project highlights to family backgrounds and inspirations. In short, it was day for adding personal connections to the professional. At RNL we are a community, not just a company, and we care about the personal.
As designers we have a responsibility to improve people’s lives through the spaces and places we create. This requires an empathy and understanding of how different communities live, work, play, and the challenges they face. As a company we have a responsibility to nurture this empathy, and it starts with walking the talk. We value our people, we are proud of the work we put in to our day-today operations, and we are honored to be allowed to hold our head up high among the awe-inspiring ‘Best For the World’ companies.
Thank you, B Lab, for honoring us a Best for the World company in the workers category. Here’s to the next 60 years. To see a full list of the Best for the World, click here.
