What a View: Rangeview V Nearing Completion

In 2009, RNL was selected to design the original Rangeview office building and master plan for the Centerra Parcel 206 development in Loveland, Colorado. Today, we are proud to say that construction is nearing completion on the 120,000-square-foot Rangeview V.

This build to suit project is especially sentimental for us because it represents a long-standing client relationship with McWHINNEY as well as our growth as a firm over the years.

Center Site Plan

As a new addition to an expanding development, Rangeview V was inspired by transitional design. It needed to delicately balance the existing traditional architecture of the past, while also looking toward the future. The east side of the building nods to the traditional style of the previous Rangeview buildings on campus, while the west side features new, sleek exterior metal-clad forms with expansive views that will tie into the future development of a town center.

Just as the building needed to respect the surrounding built environment, we were also concerned with how it would interact with the surrounding ecosystem. RNL’s landscape design team integrated an outdoor plaza between Rangeview IV and V to take full advantage of the lakeside location along Houts Reservoir and Equalizer Lake and create a stronger connection between tenants and their environment. We worked together with the High Plains Environmental Center to make plant selections that would thrive and not threaten the delicate adjacent wetlands.

Core and shell are scheduled to be completed mid-April and tenant finish will be completed in July. It has an energy-efficient building design that utilizes ample natural light, spectacular mountain views and provides tenants with easy access to adjacent trail systems.

We are proud to have worked with McWHINNEY on the master planning for the Centerra Parcel 206 Development over the last several years. They’ve been a great partner, and we look forward to continuing our work with them to help shape the commercial landscape in Northern Colorado for a new generation of office tenants.
